Alain Lamassoure, Member of the European Parliament
Alain Lamassoure (born 10 February 1944 in Pau) is a French politician and Member of the European Parliament for the south-west of France. He is a member of the Union for a Popular Movement, which is part of the European People's Party, and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Budgets.
In his report to the French President in June 2008 to prepare the French Presidency of the EU, M. Lamassoure requested strong actions to ensure that 112 is knowns and functions appropriately.

Gérard Onesta, Vice President of the European Parliament
Gérard Onesta is Vice President of the European Parliament since July 2004. He was one of the co-authors of the Written Declaration and attended two press conferences at the European Parliament on the number 112. Gérard Onesta has also published high-quality articles on 112 and has been clearly demonstrating his will to have efficient and multilingual emergency response in the EU. "If we can translate my speech today in 23 EU official languages, can't we also do it to save lives!?", he said in a Press Conference on 6 February 2007.

Dimitrios Papadimoulis, Member of the European Parliament
Dimitrios Papadimoulis has been supporting EENA's actions for several years already. He has been promoting improved emergency response through 112 but also efficient early warning systems to the population and civil protection mechanism. All his actions in the field have reached large successes.
He also launched the Written Declaration and attended a press conference at the European Parliament on the number 112 where he stated that "an efficient 112 is something we MEPs should focus on. It is an important issue, since the health and safety of millions of EU citizens inside and outside the European Union can be in danger".

Jacek Saryusz-Wolski, Member of the European Parliament
Jacek-Saryusz Wolski is Member and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament. He participated to the Press Conference during the First European 112 Day o 11 February 2008. "The 112 emergency number represents to me the essence of the idea of the European Union - full integration and unity. Every single citizen can dial this number in case of emergency in every single EU member state and receive assistance. In my home town, for example, just recently a 4 year old boy has saved his mother's life by dialling this number. I am very proud that thanks to this initiative the EU can serve its citizens better and make us all feel equally well protected both at home and abroad."

Marc Tarabella, Minister of Formation, Wallonia Region, Belgium
Marc Tarabella is a Wallon Minister and was Member of the European Parliament until August 2007. He was one of the co-authors of the Written Declaration and attended one press conference at the European Parliament on the number 112. He convinced a large majority of Socialist MEPs to support the 112 initiative and always provided his support.

Diana Wallis, Vice President of the European Parliament
In January 2007 Diana Wallis was elected to the post of Vice President of the European Parliament. In doing so she became the first Liberal Democrat and the first British female of any political persuasion to be elected to the post of Vice President of the European Parliament.
She learnt about the European Emergency Number 112 when she met EENA in December 2006, and right after proposed her help to help publicize the number in Europe. She was one of the co-authors of the Written Declaration and attended two press conferences at the European Parliament on the number 112.
